Hanlontown's Banks
The Farmers Savings Bank building stands today. No longer
used as a bank, it has been used as a cafe and tavern.
This is the original building housing the Citizen's Savings Bank
and today the Community Center is located on this site.
Today the Citizen's Savings Bank is located across the street from the former
Farmers Savings Bank and remains in business today as a member of the Commercial
Federal chain of banks.
The interior of the former Citizen's Savings Bank looks much the same
today as when this picture was taken. The stained glass windows have
been replaced with glass blocks in aluminum frames and the grill work with
the wood trim across the teller's windows has been removed since this picture
was taken.
